Hi Karan,
my dad is from mumbai, my mom from hyderabad, after their devorse i moved to hyderabadwith my mom,

my aunt stays in vashi, i visit them in holidays , earlier they were at Malbarhills

i should tell you the view outside from the 12th floor cannot be forgoten in my whole life,

i can be awake whole night looking at quens necklese from the top
we donot get vadapav at hyderabad so whenever i visit to mumbai i dont miss a day without the vadapav,

life in Hyderabad is Exactly opposite the way it is in mumbai, people start their day at 10 am, though the navabs have gone, hoever the navabgiri is still in the blood of the Hyderabadis

the best things you find here is Paradise Biryani, sheer kurma, khurbani ka mitha, haleem of pista house etc

Local train, if you ask this to any hyderabadi, he will say never , there is local trains here from last 4-5 years but no one cares to travel from it, no mater how much expensive it is they prefer to go by car, auto, bike or office provided cab

hangout is never done in hurry, aaraam se dost log ghar aate hai, chicken pakate hai, beer or rum or vodka, anything will go till two days, so saturday evening se start hua to monday morning tak chalta hai. koi rokne wala nahi, koi local train ki jaldi nahi

and if you have hangover on monday, just call and tell boss , aaj me late aaunga , he will understand the rest,

Numbers : never a hyderabadi will think about numbers and budget ,

What a tribute to my favourite city! I grew up there spending my formative years in her arms. Though my native is a city in Tamil Nadu, my dad was transferred there and so my first years (and the best) were spent in Ville Parle. Though I was there only for ten years, the city is etched in my memory. I know it has changed in a zillion ways since I left in '89 but still it is always Bombay for me.

Fond memories of the place always tease me and I yearn to go back. Though from '89, I have been in Chennai, I can never like this place as much as Bombay!
